The heart of the Polesine (the name of our land), in a flat landscape; the boundless horizon; a red sunset; a green spot in the Polesine countryside – this is the Valgrande Farmhouse, an ideal place for a relaxing and peaceful break.
The ambition of the Valgrande Farmhouse is to offer a small island of tranquillity without the frenzy of activities of everyday life.
Valgrande want to help all their guests to rediscover the silence and the musicality of nature.
This ambition can be clearly found in the offer dedicated to our guests, to whom we offer the opportunity to go through paths in the greenery and to discover the true scents of the countryside. All this can happen by giving our guests the opportunity to use some bicycles to visit some small and fascinating rural villages, full of the history of Polesine in every corner of theirs.
Finally, we find important just to offer our guests the tranquillity of a porch where to savour a glass of wine and an appetizer freshly prepared.
The possibility of organizing meetings, conferences or private dinners in a peaceful atmosphere will make your guest appreciate the care you give them.
The Countryside
The Polesine countryside, which surrounds the Valgrande farmhouse, is the right place for those who look for relaxation and well-being.
In summer, you will be pampered by the relaxing chirp of the crickets, which you can listen to while comfortably seating under the porch; at the same time, in your evening walks on the dirt paths of the countryside, you will be illuminated on the way by the dim and fascinating light of the small fireflies.
What’s more, you will be surrounded by the scent of the rural nature that will inebriate you and that will make you discover new scents that you are not used to.
All this is what you will find in the countryside surrounding the farmhouse, and that you will be able to admire while walking or cycling, fully immersed in the relaxation offered by the nature and by the close contact with it.
The Organic Vegetable Garden
The organic vegetable garden is the heart of the Valgrande Farmhouse.
In fact, all our products come straight from the organic garden of Valgrande; you can enjoy them during your stay or you can simply take advantage of the menus chosen for you in our restaurant.
The Valgrande Farmhouse have started their conversion process from traditional farming to organic farming.
The goal of our company is to be able to offer our guests a high-quality and healthy production, with a special consideration to the protection of the environment that surrounds the farmhouse and that is the heritage of us all.
Animals
You will not be alone at the Azienda Agrituristica Valgrande (Valgrande Farmhouse).
In fact, many rural animals live in the rural court: from the hens that every day delight us with their eggs, to the pharaohs, the ducks and the small rabbits.
But there are also bigger animals such as horses, our donkey, our goats and even some I pigs.
All these animals are also the guests of the petting farm, a place where to learn as much as possible about the rhythms of nature and where to learn about the animals that have helped mankind to cultivate the land over the centuries.
